Title: Slit House
Post by: PMVis on 2015-10-02, 11:32:00
Hi everyone,
I would like to share my first project with corona:) This is a personal project, based on an existing house in Japan called "Slit House" by Eastern Design Office architects.
Software used was 3ds Max, Corona 1.2, Groxfx, Arionfx and Photoshop.

Is this piece of architecture designed to showcase GI in renderers? :)

Very, very nice! Amazing textures and lighting, I especially like the evening shots.

Thanks maru! Yeah your right with the GI, the interior shots took especially long to clean up:)

Amazing and clean renders, congratulations.
For me, just a little thing is that the edges of your concrete walls are too rounded. Very often walls like that are gross before possibly varnish.
Your interior views are wonderful.

Cheers Roland! I completely agree with you on the concrete edges being too rounded. Firstly I chamfered them too large and then I wanted to add displacement to only the edges of the concrete walls but I couldn't get it to work correctly so I eventually just moved on. Kind of regret it now!

Hallway night shot, warms and cools. Could compliment exterior night?

Minimal, love it

@Roland B, Thanks again!

@philippelamoureux, when I saw this architecture I knew I had to recreate it:) It reminded me of Tadao Ando's work somewhat.

@Noah45, Thanks! I thought of doing some more nightshots. That hallway image took so long to render though!
