Title: Distributed Rendering with master not on the slaves LAN?

Is it possible?
I have all this render nodes (with FairSaaS license) and i have never used them :(
Or do I need to somehow talk ITdepartment into adding me on the office network? I don't know if this is possible - obviously i know nothing about how this LAN thing works.

they do not have to be on same LAN in case they have public IP. But IMHO the best solution would be to set up VPN
