Title: First Corona render
Post by: walfor on 2015-09-25, 15:55:43
Hi All

On july '15 I had the pleasure and the honor to partecipare at The Peter Guthrie lighting masterclass at SOA academy.
In that occasion I had the opportunity ,also, to discover how Corona intresing is.
Here I want show you the result of this.
Is a selection of image for a kitchen catalogue : are around 90 images at 5800px already printed in 4000 copy whitout any kind of problem.
As you can see there are not so mouch emotional or romanitc images , but they are simply clean and solid , and this is the point that impress us.
Because we would never expected that a so young render engine could be insert so fast in our pipeline and in the printing-industrial workflow.
When we have star this experiment 2 month ago we was a bit afraid , because 90 images in industrial printing are not a joke , they need to pass a lot of step of control by professional colorist befor goes in print process for 4000(!) copies of catalogue.
But all goes good.
Main ligthing of all images are from Peter Guthrie HDRI,some 3d model from BBB3viz and Design Connected. No particoular/magic post-production was applied.
thank you.

Walter

The overal impression is great, But the first image kills everything away. Thre resolution of the bitmaps used for the tiles. And there is something wrong with the tiles on the floor.

But the lithing solution is greart.

Generally the work (and the amount of work!) is impressive, but I will point out some things that bother me. I am not doing this because I do not appreciate this work, only because I find this very distracting.

Thank you

I think this was an bad effect of a fast post-production...at one certain point of work time was became my enemy.
I have check the raw file of corona and you can stay safe...they are ok !
