Title: render on previous version
Post by: ignicapillus on 2015-09-14, 09:07:11
Hey! I am a happy user of Corona FairSaas, and so I'm using the latest version (1.2).

The problem is that the renderfarm which I use (http://www.foxrenderfarm.com/specs-software.html (http://www.foxrenderfarm.com/specs-software.html)) supports an older version of Corona (not sure if 1 or 1.1).
How can I save/convert my file for it? Any idea?

We are trying to make new versions of Corona backward compatible, but we cannot guarantee forward compatibility. So the best solution here would be if the render farm updated their Corona plugins. If it's 1.1 or 1, then they are using outdated version anyway. We will probably have to contact them.

Thank you!
In the meanwhile, can I install two versions of Corona on the same pc? I could test the scene locally, before submitting it to the farm...

Ok, the official answer is that Fox Render Farm is not officially supported and we cannot take responsibility for the quality of their services. I will contact them anyway with a suggestion to update.

Sure! You can even run multiple versions at the same time in one 3ds Max. :) Here is how to do it:

You can also switch your render farm to Rebus ( https://rebusfarm.net ). If you have purchased Corona, you have some free points to use. :)
