I think the renders lack a certain amount of contrast.
In my opinion, images with such a huge dynamic range (details visible in the exterior but also details visible in the shadows of the interior) look a bit unnatural and expose something quickly as a rendering. The incoming light from the outside should be way stronger than the artificial interor lights.

Of course we are proud of every detail we model or materialize, but it is more important to create an image pleasing the eye and jumping the uncanny valley.

So can you tell me, which settings you have in the tonemapping section of the VFB? Normally such an image results from cranking up Highlight Compress quite a bit and leaving Contrast almost at zero (except the ratio of exterior to interior light's intensity is off).

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ben

Okay, that looks better. Now try those settings and tell me what you think:

EV: 2.5-3.5
HC: 1.7 - 2.5
CO: 3.0-5.0

I still think, the artificial light is too strong compared to the sun-/skylight. The contrast between the sunlight and the surrounding area of the wooden floor can still be quite bigger.
