Title: Mapping & Textures in viewport
Post by: kehlje on 2015-07-13, 16:14:31
Hi all, I am trying to figure out how to ensure that all my material textures are displayed in my viewport along with their UVW mapping. Oddly, only some of the materials I use show up in my viewport—some of which are found in the standard Corona material library generously provided by Corona. When I make my own texture with a Corona material, though, it doesn't show up. It slows me down sometimes in my workflow. I am using 3dsMax 2015 and 2016.

Thanks for your response in advance.

J

Can you show screenshots where the maps that are not displayed are plugged, and how you are trying to enable textures in viewport (which button)?

Ok, so, the first screenshot is the material library file opened up. I have copied a cube and applied a random stone material to it - nothing shows.

I try clicking 'shaded materials with maps' and nothing happens. I try clicking 'shaded materials with no maps' and everything disappears as you see in the second screenshot. Curiously, I cannot reactivate the wood textures in my viewport -- when I reclick 'shaded materials with maps' nothing happens and even the original wood textures are not shown.

ok, I thought so :)

You have to go to your bitmap node and enable it here:
