Title: Cscatter density from Vertex Color
Post by: FrostKiwi on 2015-06-25, 22:15:44
Hi,
I need to scatter some instances over a cave model.
I vertex color painted areas I wanted the instances to be White and left the other parts black.
In Cscatter I used the VertexColor Map, that comes standart with 3dsMax 2015.
No matter what combination I try, CScatter ignores the vertexpaint colors.

I tried all combination of options in the Vertexpaint modifier and the VertexPaint Map. (changing map channels, oppacity instead of color and what not)

Is it supported? Am I doing something wrong?
Am I forced to use particle flow now (which I'd like to avoid for sake of simplicity :| )

I see that scatter currently saves only 1 mapping channel (so no vertex color). I will improve it in the future.
