Title: Moonlight?
Post by: Jpjapers on 2015-05-29, 11:50:19
Can anyone give me a hint as to how to create realistic moonlight in Corona?
Its something ive never been able to figure out in other renderers and i cant seem to achieve the right effect with a corona sun.
Any ideas?

Thanks guys
Jack

My guesses would be:
-good spherical hdri
-create a fake image
-create a procedural map
-create a disc/sphere light and place it faaaaar away
Also, is it for interior, exterior? What other lighting conditions? What shutter time/exposure? I think color temperature has huge impact on realism for "night shots".

Its for an interior shot. Im thinking maybe the sky and portal have alot to do with getting the right look. Ill give your method a shot
Thanks

Moonlight for interior scene? I guess you should look for artistic look instead of realistic one :]
