Title: Normal Map workflow
Post by: hugojackson18 on 2015-05-10, 02:21:30
I was trying to put a normal map on my shader, and I noticed that there's a Normal Map slot under the Corona tab in the bump node.
What is the correct workflow for this? Changing the bump mode to Tangent Space completely mess up the shader, and it doesn't make any difference when I've got a map plugged into the Normal Map slot or not.

If you could clarify that it would be great! There's no mention about it in the doc.

Thanks

I know the manual is outdated in many sections, but normal mapping should work exactly as described in the manual. As much as I know, there is an normal map example in the zip archive where you can see how it is done.

Ok I was reading a really old file of the doc as well. Just opened the one bundled with the latest version, and there's a lot more on everything in there! Thanks haggi

And still the manual is outdated and needs a lot of work ;)
