Hi, I just want to know when we will have a final or advanced version of the plugin. (just curiosity)
And will be Udims, Bifrost and Xgen supported?
Thanks! Cant wait to use this!
-
Udims, Bifrost are already supported, well bifrost only as polymesh, but with motionblur in vertex colors.
Could you please define "advanced"?
-
I mean something like the current c4d version. So xgen is not but will be? and volumes/fire?
thanks
-
I definitly plan to implment XGen, but it is a bit complicated, so I cannot say when it will happen. If you mean fluids with "volumes/fire", then no. Corona renderer itself cannot yet do this kind of volumetric rendering as much as I know. But as soon as it is available, I'll implement it.

jagger, this is still in closed beta so a while. It is progressing nicely though - haggi doing a fantastic job!
-
Hey Haggi, you said UDIMs were supported.
I've tried using the UDIM option in maya 2015, and it doesn't seem to work.
Is there something specific to do, or a specific file type to use?
Thanks =)

I suppose you tried to use udims in the form filename_u<x>_v<y>.ext how they are used by Zbrush? This format is not yet recognized. At the moment only mari nomenclature filename_1001.ext or Mudbox filename_u0v0.ext are supported. The other will come soon.
-
No I was trying Mari UDIMs, But they were in the middle of the filename, I will try to put them as _1001.ext and see how that works!
-
Ah, I didn't know that such a name is created by Mari. Can you give me the exact file name of such a file? Maybe it is not too complicated to support it.
-
It didn't come out of Mari, I'm just using the Mari type of Udim to name my textures. It's definitely not a problem to rename them for me.
I usually name my files this way
Stanmore_1001_ALBEDO.tga
But as long as I know that the way to call them is like this for it to work, I will do this from now on.
Stanmore_ALBEDO_1001.tga

Yes, but as long as maya itself recognizes it as UDIM, mayaToCorona should recognize it as well.
