I have carpets in my scene that I have created with CScatter which is a great tool btw. But I am wondering how to go about texturing the carpet. The base mesh upon which the rug models are instanced over has a texture pattern that has different colors. CScatter distributes the instanced mesh with its own material on the base mesh. Is there a way I can get the instanced objects to take the textures from the base mesh or project the textures of the base mesh over the instanced meshes?

I don't see how you can do this with CScatter, but would be a nice addition.

I can't think of any way to do this with CScatter other than converting scattered objects to mesh.

Yes, this would improve CScatter tremendously.
