Title: License problem with new machine
Post by: artmaknev on 2015-03-26, 01:15:47
Hope I can get some help, have urgent deadline... my old machine died, I installed corona on new machine but now have problem with DR, only 2 nodes render the other 3 fail (max trying to start then fails, its like a loop, it keeps trying and fails) I had similar problem with vray license, but it is now fixed, so I wonder is it because I installed Corona on new machine and didn't deactivate the license on old machine??

solved.
deactivated and reactivated license and also turned on the corona license server, and its working now.

But should I keep turning on license server on every startup?
There are two fields for username and password and no buttons, is this normal?

yes, that is how it is supposed to look.

To make sure Corona works with as little hassle as possible, I would suggest running the licensing server on every startup, if that is not problem for you.

Is there a way to start it automatically as a windows service on startup?

Everytime I start the license server, do I have to type the username and password each time too?

service mode is currently not supported - but the second problem is solvable. Create the text file as listed in the server log window in your screenshot

So I should make LicensingServerLogin.txt file manually with just email:password, and it should work automatically on startup?

hi Ondra, I tried it but it doesn't work I still have to start license server manually, its not really a big problem I just thought maybe I am doing something wrong.

But it loads the login, right? Making the application run on startup is trivial: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/run-program-automatically-windows-starts#1TC=windows-7
