i have problems when merge objets from otrer scenes, the ram increase and the program crash
i use 3dmax 2014 whith Corona version: 1.00.01

usual thing, try to increase padfile from your HDD\SSD drive

I use 16GB RAM + 25GB Padfile on workstation. And it is enough to work with 4MM poly exterior scenes.

OR

You have render interations on turbosmooth combined with displacement

Use this script to clean your scene, sometimes merged object can have thousands of noteracks or retimers and it might slow down the entire file and use alot of ram.
