Hello Corona team,
This is my first post here and i like corona render very much more then vray very good quality, Speed stability. While trying corona render 1.0 i like how good volume material is. But Problem came when i want to fly through clouds they are looking good from outside but they are empty when viewed from Inside. Anyone know how to volume inside clouds. Volume material works good in global volume slot but with geometry it only looks ok when viewed from outside.
Here is a simple scene :

AFAIK this is not possible... yet.

Thanks for the replay. Thanks to the corona team they are focused on an artists needs. Like i am able to render clouds, dust haze now with a very good quality render.Which was not possible with any other render before other renderers are just made to visualize architecture and products on average. But corona render is different from other renderers in that sense. Very good renderer. I will support corona render development.

Hmmm... so you must be outside geometry all times for volumematerial to work?... how about animated slice with cap?... or some fancy animated boolean around camera?...
-
just been playing around with fog.. working VERY nicely!
Ran into the camera-inside-volume-material problem though. Would be great if this could be fixed?

For now, i wonder if you could just link the fog volume to the very front of the camera so it follows the camera path and therefore covers the area infront of the camera wherever it moves?

Don't forget you can also use standard 3ds Max's fog and volume for effects globally or with atmospheric gizmos.
Corona's volumetrics will work fine with camera "inside" when they are made via global volume material. But then you cannot use volumetric opacity maps, or make it layered.
I have another idea and will try it soon... :) turned out it does not work
