Title: Abandon treasure
Post by: betwrx on 2015-02-26, 23:49:02
Just bought corona and testing it out on a new work i'm currently making..I'm quite happy with it. If only the corona scatter had more options for more control on scatter.. like spline control would be awesome.

Started working on the house to give it a real old abandon feeling. Now I need to add some "broken" windows and some more fine details around the house

I kinda like it, but the overall scale of the road seems of, not sure how to put it. It just seems like to big in comparison with the house ( given perspective/distance etc )

Yes you're right about the road..I already had it written down to fix it (cause I too didn't like it), but i'm currently working on the major important and complex part now..which is the nature elements :).The road can easily be fixed later on.
thank u for ur feedback (glad im not alone that find the road a bit off :p)

The images look really nice. The scale was bothering me also from the beginning. I think that your camera is positioned too high. Currently it feels like it was rendered form the house ceiling level.
Compliments on the greenery tho!

Thnks to notice it too bluebox..I'll fix it later :)

When I said nature complexity I talk about this. (I'm satisfied now with the greenery still need to add some cactus and I think I'll call it done for the greenery :S)

p.s. I think the rocks looks too clean in my eyes..i guess i layer them with an dirt map

Better, although now you picked to worst possible camera angle for any arch viz xD Straight on is a big no no. Always try to show 2 sides, straight on shots tend to be boring because you're missing your overall silhouette etc, also flat.

I don't think your rocks are to clean, but might I suggest to go for a more pink sky? you're image screams Africa, so either pink or really red orange'ish.

This is hardly your typical archviz :)
I actually like this angle better, with the road leading up to the... house(?).

I love the detail you put in the pic!

I think your subject can be shown from a more interesting perspective! imho a low PoV would add mistery to the scene and make the observer feel "in" the scene...

Good work!

Thnks ignicapillus and blank..:)..yeah a low pov can add alot of mistery..but the latest pic I uploaded I didn't focus on the composition of the image..more like a test cam on the greeneries to see if the mixing of the various plants r in harmony with each other (other words looks more realistic)..but yeah later on when i'm finish with everything i'm gonna put some camera pov testing with some good composition and from there choose the best shots that I like :).

But thnks guys for your feedback :)..glad u liked the environment :)..peace

Looking good. You could work on the road itself - differentiate the texture and geometry around it, and maybe add some kind of a hero object in the foreground - dead tree trunk or something like that to break a bit the greenery.

That's some great progress! Only two things seem a bit off: some of the greasses in the foreground have the same orientation/topology so they're easy to spot as CG, the other thing is the trees in the background, they seem either too flat or stretched in z-axis.
But the whole thing looks very natural, love the lighting and mood.

Thnks pokoy..i guess i need to make more variations ..hehe..to trees in the background r actually like that..they r flatlike look in their zaxis. Some example here where I based my trees on http://www.columbusmagazine.nl/images/user_images11/53891/1000x1000/orgineel.jpg.  http://static.panoramio.com/photos/large/28303668.jpg .thnks for the feedback :)

there is just something off about those trees in the background - they look as if they are stretched in XY dimensions... other than that the vegetation is flawless!

I guess I have to tone down the x/y axis branch length :P and thnk u for the feedback
