Title: Animation setup
Post by: pwrdesign on 2015-02-23, 19:33:11
Hi all!

After 10 years in the arch viz business I'm now on my own which feels great. I've been working with maxwell and Vray mostly but started to test Corona for a few weeks ago and I really like it.
Now I have an animation to deliver in two weeks roughly (already delivered the stills..) and I'm about to fine tune the settings, but I need some help to verify that I'm doing what I can to bring down the rendertime..
We are talking about a 3000 frame animation (fly through) with some walking people (3dsmax Populate).

What I've done now is that I do a render of one of the frame and save that HD Cache to disk, after that I switch to Precomputation: Load from disk, and start the render.
Is this the correct way of doing it?

For an animation like this, what render settings would you recommend? I've let most of the settings to stay at default values atm.
Each frame is 1700x720 and each frame takes around 4 min to render atm.

Best Regards Patrik
