Title: Noise Problem
Post by: M.Nagyp on 2015-02-19, 23:37:03
Hello , I face noise in this photo , and i can't understand how to solve noise Problem , So i hope helping me As soon as possible.
Second question : How To Produce Final render with Corona without any noise or Problems and what is the Render Engine use in Final Render ?

You have simple geometry and neither DoF, nor MoBlur.
Now if you get 100 passes, all these 100passes produced to many samples for antialiasing, which is not needed anymore.
We need more rays and less samples, thus the Rays/Sample Number in the Corona VFB should be higher.
To do this double the GI samples multiplier
And double The LightSampleMultiplier
This should quadrouple the Rays/Sample multiplier and you will get a cleaner image faster.
You should have a near perfect imgage at 25 passes/second, if not, increase these numbers even further.

And Lastly, to get Ondra boiling, use the secret corona super trick, increase the Max Ray Depth from 25 to 26

do u use portals?? u can encrease the HD cache record quality to i think!

i not use portal but how ?

Hi,

I think this noise is came from the light. Just check the albedo and direct and indirect passes. If that's clear, than check the reflection passes. If you have the reflection noise, than you have to tweek the material's reflection. Turn down the reflection value in the color. The gray maximum 200 recomended, and check the glossiness value too. Just play with those. Kepp the glossiness valu under 2000 too. That's helps a lot to cleaning the image.

what is the best mode to Final image ? bucket or .....
what is the best limited passes number when choose bucket ?
i not understand "You should have a near perfect imgage at 25 passes/second" (SairesArt)
what is "Ondra boiling" (SairesArt)
and in my night photo , i reduced some noise but the time of rendering was 6 Hours with bucket and 1 passes and 100 initial samples , and how to get high quality in less time ?
Is Noise defect in Corona Or What ?

M.Nagyp, do not use extensive text formating, unless it's really necesary, please. It's really hard to read and makes life even harder for moderators.

what is the best mode to Final image ?
Progressive, there is no reason to use bucket
what is the best limited passes number when choose bucket ?
Unless you want an animation, don't limit the passes
i not understand "You should have a near perfect imgage at 25 passes/second" (SairesArt)
That was a typo, I ment, after 25passes your image should be perfect
what is "Ondra boiling" (SairesArt)
Ondra is the pony that needs to understand the secrets off the magic 26th depth ray. Just ignore it :]
and in my night photo , i reduced some noise but the time of rendering was 6 Hours with bucket and 1 passes and 100 initial samples , and how to get high quality in less time ?
You image should take about 15 minutes to be perfect at 1920x1080 with around at ca. 2.5mio/rays per second
Is Noise defect in Corona Or What ?
Nope, just wrong settings
In short:
64 ray samples multiplier
5 Light samples multiplier
5 max ray intensity
Try this, after 15minutes at 1920x1080 you should have a perfect image.
I want to add, that although portals will help, they are not the ultimate solution to your problem, implement them anyways, AFTER you got good rendering speed, as they take quite some time to setup properly. (also it goes against Corona's philosophy of simple setup with fast rendertimes ^^) Do it according to this guide: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/articles/5000501660-how-to-use-light-portals-in-corona-

ps: quite some good looking render, love the neon light :]

First of all , Hello thank you every body Helped me .
I tried a lot ,
This render , Noise Still exist , Took 2 Hours , Resolution 1920*1666 , Progressive , PT + HD Cache
GI/AA = 16
Light Samples Multiplier = 2
Max sample intensity = 20
Max ray depth = 26
I Noticed that rays/s in render was 800.000 rays/s
My Processor : AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor 2.81 GHz
Ram : 24 GB
Is rays should be Over 2.5 million , Or this 800.000 rays/s is Normal ?

SairesArt: while I appreciate good trolling, please do not give false advice such as the "max ray depth 26". It may seem funny to experienced users, but newcomers cannot tell that is a joke, and will start using it, possibly spreading it around.

This creates a "magic settings aura" around corona, that goes exactly against our message of "do not touch anything, no magic constants needed" we are trying to spread. It can hurt Corona more that you can imagine.

magic settings aura Your signature promised so much :[
The fun police shall be respected :]

Yes and no.
First of all, the fx-8150, while having 8 modules with 8 integer cores has only 4 FPU. Thus you don't have an 8core for rendering, but a 4-core.
I'm an fx-8350 owner, I know your pain.
Rays per second is dependant on scene complexity, in this case it seems too low.
Please check with CPU-Z or something else, what your CPU frequency is, while rendering. 2.81 GHz is definetly too low.
3 possibilites for that reading: You took it while CPU was ideling and underclocking, the reading was false or this is an extrem case of thermal throtteling. (which shoudn't be the case, as this is some crazy bad number)

And please read what I posted, 16 GI/AA is too low. We need more of dem GI rays, not this many AA samples. This scene does not need that many samples.

Try: GI/AA = 50
Light Samples Multiplier = 5
Max sample intensity = 5
This should speed up rendering by quite a lot.

Check this: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000501981-rays-per-second-too-low (https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000501981-rays-per-second-too-low)
Bitmap paging for example is a common issue that should be eliminated first.

another good read is this: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000516731-how-can-i-tell-whether-noise-comes-from-direct-or-indirect-light- (https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000516731-how-can-i-tell-whether-noise-comes-from-direct-or-indirect-light-)

and... in contrast to some other statement here, you won't get a noise-free image in 15 minutes in 1080p.

No, but a near perfect one ;]
At least that's my experience on an 8350 in similar scenes, that's at 4.6ghz to be fair.

Definitively, it depends by the scene ;)
