Hi,
as in the title, randomly, when I try to change the "RGB level" parameter (Output rollount in Bitmap map), 3ds max crash.
It's a simple car shader so:
BLEND
-> Material 1 -> CoronaMtl -> Diffuse -> Color Correction -> Bitmap ->"RGB level"
-> Material 2 -> CoronaMtl (coat)
-> Mask -> Fallof
today, 7-8 times 3ds max crashed
(Corona 18-02-2015)

Ok, I'm going to make a test with IR.
Because this crash, I closed the IR windows and, my next action was to open the Output rollout -> crash! (IR was, obviously, OFF)
I don't know. It seems that, after some minutes that I'm working with IR, bitmap map becomes... "unstable"!

Ok, now, just closing IR VFB -> Crash...

Hi. I'm still using A6, but I had a similar experience the other day with a file that crashed every time I used the VFB or the material editor. Finally I got it to work by simply making a renamed copy of the file.
Have you tested that it isn't caused by a corrupted file, or a HD problem?

HD is ok, file also.
Maybe the problem was caused because the VFB was on my second monitor. Usually, I work with it in my main monitor. I don't know...
Now, with that file, I finished to work. We will see if the cash happens again.

Ok, crash if I close float VFB (IR) if I work with one monitor only, by clicking the "X" icon.

Are those crashes happens with one particular scene or with all scenes? Did you try to go couple builds back to see if max still crashes?

All the scenes I'm working on now (three different files).
No, I didn't' try with old builds.

Can you try this with 2015-02-28? It does not crash here, maybe it was already fixed. There were 3 IR bugfixes since the version you used
