Hello corona users,
http://blog.maxwellrender.com/tips/pushing-the-limits-of-realism-of-materials/ (http://blog.maxwellrender.com/tips/pushing-the-limits-of-realism-of-materials/)
i'm tried to get those results in my plastic, rubber shaders.
Anyone know how to do this on corona render?
I'm use a7.2 version, and i dont have daily builds.
Thank you guys, sorry for my bad english.

Unless you need interference effect (think of CD/DVD surface, that crazy rainbow), you can get the same effect (colored/additional) highlight as in the article from blended coat layer via fresnel (using fallof) mask.

Looks like Vlado was able to code this in spare time:

Based on this paper: http://www.gamedev.net/page/resources/_/technical/graphics-programming-and-theory/thin-film-interference-for-computer-graphics-r2962
Anyway, the paper clearly states there is only narrow range (of film thickness) when interference happens, outside of it, it's regular fresnel reflection.
