A simple map that returns color (mappable) based on polygon's material ID. Attached a reference

Nope. Multitexture is multiscatter proprietary texture with some of the features overlapping with this map. But not a same thing.

Yes, but it implies it should primarily do what Multiscatter texture does. That's a bit more complex thing to code. I currently need simple map that just switched maps by material IDs for my current project. If i got a simple quick and dirty version fast, i would be a lot happier that getting overly complex piece of crap later on.

I will probably add something before 1.0 is out. Now that maps have their own category, number of maps is no longer a rpoblem
