Title: Animating Corona Light Makes it Black
Post by: kumodot on 2013-03-27, 02:19:16
Hello There. I am trying to make a Fancy intro to my Car Animation with Corona.

I would like to animate the light on the ceilling scaling it from the center to it´s actual size (the entire ceilling)

As soon as i create a Width Key on Corona light the render turned black. :(

Then i´ve tried to just animate the ON/OFF, didn´t worked.
Tried to animate HIDE / UNHIDE, didn´t worked. :(

I will try it on a Clean scene to check.

My only solution to achieve the effect was to keep the light unmodified and ON, and animate a HUGE black BOX moving on the ceilling to block the light... Hope it works, but it´s strange that i was not able to animate Corona Light Parameters...

I bet you can animate a plane with emitting material.

I bet he can, but it still doesn't change anything about the fact it is probably a very annoying bug ;)

Sure. It was just a quick workaround.

I just tried animating light's parameters and it works fine. Also works when using multiple instances of the same animated light.
