Title: Tree Colour - Washed Out
Post by: MGDesignUK on 2015-01-08, 12:54:14
I hope someone can help me out here. My trees are always washed out when rendering with corona. All other materials come through but for some reason vegetation always looks muted and dull.

Any ideas of what is going on here - example attached.

Please show us your material setup for leaves.

I think this might be too much reflectivity - sky is reflected in leaves.

Here are two screenshots of the tree material.

I hope refraction color is pure black.

Does it look better when you completely disable reflectivity? Maybe try reducing fresnel ior to something like 1,3.

I made the refraction black and changed the IOR to 1.3 like you said which did help but the leaves are still dull and de-saturated...

Maybe something is wrong with bitmaps? Wrong gamma settings? What are your gamma settings in max and when loading bitmaps?
