Title: Cozy Bedroom
Post by: Dmitriy Yemelianenko on 2015-01-06, 20:54:03
Hello, this is my second project in 2015.
It was made in 1 day, for about 5 hours from start to finish. I'm pretty happy with the result. Hope you will like it.
Any critique are welcome.

Nice speed.
The carpet on the floor looks deadly slippery.

Thank you.
Yeah the carpet is not the best part of this work:)

Probably it's only me but the camera perspective looks weird: the chair/desk in the corner looks soooo small respect to the bed.

Didn't noticed that before your post, maybe you are right, have to think about it.
Thank you.

It's not only you ;) Eames plastic chair is way to small.

I like bed linen material exept the displace which is a little to big for me.

I really love what you did, the lighting composition and presentation are really interesting. The bump on your bed cover is too strong though, I would personnally tone it down a bit.

- you seem to always do super shiny floors, with overexposed outside the light spills and exposes the very high reflection and glossiness values of your wood material. lacquering is one thing but this is super high.

- wood isn't boring with low glossiness value, u actually appreciate the texture more, don't be afraid to have less shininess

- bed material might need some falloff work.

Criticisms on the plus side - very good lighting and nice scene, 5 hours? great job.

One more time, thank you guys very much.
Reflection was really my problem in these projects.
It seems to me that the wood looks more natural in this one, still far from perfect, but better than it was https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,6620.0.html
Right now, watching some tutorials about cloth material, so, hope that next time it would be ok.
I'm working on a new personal project, I guess i'll will finish it on weekends. I wrote down all my usual mistakes, and will try not to repeat them.
I really appreciate your help, critique and comments.
Cheers.
