Title: room in a country house
Post by: lexxkb on 2014-12-09, 23:27:04
Hello everyone. One of the works for the report to CGEvent by Corona Render. What do you think could be improved as there is a little more time?

Seriously?.. No kidding...))  to improve these images?
They already look like a real photo shoots...
Except maybe just red round table on the first and third image seems a bit distorted...I would also change the wood on the stairs, looks too dramatic...

Great work on these images. Anything to change would be really nit picking I think.

very lively looking renders  :) on the closeup shot the cup looks like it has pretty lowres texture and it is overall not very interresting shot imho. Also the wood texture on ceiling beams is a bit too shiny I think. But other than that it's all pretty awesome. I would like to know, how much ram does this scene eat?

I like them too. They really have that photographic film feel. Only thing that bothers me is the mapping of that cup with wooden forks and spoons. Maybe it's intentional, but to me it looks like wrong (planar) mapping and too lowres texture :)

Thanks guys. I'll think about how to implement your ideas. my work machine i7 32 Gb  RAM. but at render time used 13 Gb  RAM pictures of 4000 pixels (http://c2n.me/38tlyDE.jpg)

3dsmax leave this instances running in memory after some crashes. I just simply killit with taskmanager.
How about some bump in the table red cloth?.
Impresive color grading. Best seen so far.
Make a tutorial!!! ;)

these are super images...cant point out any areas to improve other than low res texture on the wooden cup too. btw, i dont understand how your scene ate up all dat ram cos i cant see that much stuff in terms of meshes that accounts for it. did you not use proxy?

ok, i see....but having looked at these images again, im forced to ask if there were any advanced tips other than a HDRI and corona lights been used to create these pictures cos they are beginning to look too good to be true(apart from the cup scene:)).  can i also see a raw image to compare with to see whatever magic you did in post-processing....(in short, do a making of if you can) thanks

I think the quality is great .
I would only suggest changing camera views to have straight vertical lines .
Maybe even try out some orthogonally positioned cameras , perpendicular to walls etc.

Hey really nice work.
I especially like first image as it has really nice look to it.
Would you mind telling what gamma you used, highlight clamps, contrast..?
One more think - I am not sure if I really understand your postprocessing picture - it is raw render (right?) but it does not tell a thing about post production.
Great project keep it up!
