Title: Corona_Kitchen - first try w. corona
Post by: gpg on 2014-12-09, 23:20:15
Hi guys

Like many others, I decided to give corona a try.

I tried to recreate a kitchen add from a magazine I had next to me and it was great fun / easy to work with corona! It was just standard settings and I left my new computer with the job over night (used a laptop before, so might not really need 6hours of rendering for this pic, but old habbit...).

Any feedback both regarding picture and if I could optimize the standard render settings for a scene like this, would be very welcome.

Cheers!

(org. render was 3500px)

Small bonus question regarding displacement:

I did not change anything on the disp material or wall object, so how come the displacement "fails" at the attached angle?

Object must have only 1 Smoothing Group

thanks for the suggestion. I've tried to just give the face/object the same (1) smoothing group and also tried all settings in the smooth modifier, none of it makes any difference. Any other suggestions?

I've seen similar issue in this topic: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,6002.msg41342.html#msg41342
Also there's registered a bug with displacement: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,5105.html

You can read those topics and see if you'll find a clue that helps to solve your problem.
