Title: Thru the Pines
Post by: thvo82 on 2014-12-09, 09:39:02
Hi guys,

We had the chance here in Slashcube and the luck to assist our friends in Laubwerk with their new release of their Conifers Pack. They kindly ask us to test their new release and it was great.

We made this foresty scene with their conifers pack, along with lots of objects from Silva3D also.
The scene was modelled in Cinema4D and rendered with Corona for C4D. We were happy to pull this out in a short period of time, so we hope you like it guys.

Cheers,

Thomas

I saw your wonderful image on FB and in the Laubwerk website, congratulations !
You've made all the image in FPP ?
For the gravel path, just look at the new features of the 4.3.2b, you have a lot of new amazing presets witch will be closer to the reality (the only critic I have to make on this beautiful render).
Congrats !

Thnks Roland,

well the whole scatter was done with Surface Spread. I could use Carbonscatter with Maxon C4D but Surface Spread seemed more flexible for me. ( dont get me wrong, Carbonscatter is great i just have it a few days and didnt have time to make it work as i wanted...yet)
So everything was scattered with painted vertex maps and some more options. I know it could be more realistic on the scattering..it is true!!

I dont think FPP is yet available with Maxon Cinema4D.

Cheers,

Thomas

fantastic! On the right, a nice slope into a water body( pond or stream) would have added extra polish and give an adequate end to the horizon of this scape bcos i doubt we can have this size of trees right at the edge of a cliff

Thanx Yagi,

well it could be as you say it..although i am a mountain guy and i do see cliffs like that. Of course this cliff can continue further more on the right...it is just the POV that makes this open horizon look i guess. And i kind of liked this opening ...next time!!!

Here some more Tree samples i had to do while playing with the trees.

This is simply amazing.
I like the overall mood and lighting...nice shaders on the leaves, too.
Looking forward for more of your work.

Cheers

Thanks a lot Ale,

Shaders were also a great surprise for us also. They came to be really nice looking.
There are some more projects we want to share, but we have to wait a bit due to confidential issues etc.

Cheers,

Thomas
