Title: Light Visible Directly
Post by: Nahaf on 2014-11-19, 15:53:26
Hi all,

I'm facing a problem with the Visible Directly option, I want to turn on the light to be visible but it appears all black as shown on the image below.

What I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

It seems your ligth is behind some geometry. Hard to tell from the picture.

The disk is outside the main focus.

I attached the side view of that disk...

It seems ies ligth visibility by default turns the disc, plane, sphere types black.
I would go for untick visible directly and also untick occlude other lights.
As for the lamp you can use a texture in the Self ilumination slot to fake it.

Or try with different IES file. Check this discussion. It seems related to IES file than a Corona issue.
