Title: Nissan GT-R Duron Automotive
Post by: Duron on 2014-11-08, 17:24:23
My first final render after couple tests.

I'm really impressed by the amount fo speed you get with corona. This image took me about 2h starting from lighting till the postwork. Rendertime with motionblur for the wheels 30min.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Hi,

Some lightning you've got there on the wheels :)

I prefer the first image because of the better contrast and especially the DoF (a good sense of speed). In the second image the portion of motion blur is too small I think.

Last thing I noticed is the exhaust pipe in the second image, looks like it's too low and floating underneath the car.

Dude...2nd render is raw.

Ah, my bad, I didn't see it was the raw version, makes sense now :) I thougt it was an alternative edit version.
My comment on the exhaust thing was meant for the top render. I see some strange lines floating there.

well done, background looks very good. I would say the rear of the car looks a little dark, but the side panels look fantastic. Perhaps a little liquefy on the bottom of the wheels, where the tires meet the ground, just a very slight pressure bulge.. possibly? really like it man, hope to see more!

Looks great, good to see you have thread here :- )

My small issue is some alias. I see there's quite little of it in raw, so perhaps this is result of sharpening in post ?

I believe you save your raw as linear (highlight compression in Tonemapping=1), but in case you don't (highlight compressing 1.1-99), you can use feature "internal resolution"= higher than 1, for example 2, which will downsample
image inside framebuffer, correcting aliasing from highlights. This would prevent you from easily applying glows to highlights...but just in case you might ever have some use for it.

Great work!  Love the highlights you added to the wheels in post.

Btw there is some weird artifact down under the right exhaust / diffusor :)

It can't be seen in raw render so I guess it's some cutout from post.

Check screenshot attached :)

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback.

@Juraj
you are absolutely right, the highlights are very bad. I'm still a beginner when it comes to operating corona. Thanks for you feedback mate.

@Tomislavn
lol. This is my digital signature man. I'm using it decently next to the car because i made often bad experiences where my renderings were copied and cropped out with other watermarks.

Okay :) sorry for misunderstanding, thought it might be some random thingy that got in the way. Great work anyway, like I said!
