Title: Euro Coin test with Corona renderer (work in progress)
Post by: jumamu on 2014-10-09, 17:50:14
I took this screenshot with C4D interface to show the render time (3min).. I tested displacement mapping with Corona for C4D.

I always test render engines with Euro coin because I always have one in my pocket and it is fast and simple to model and test the rendering features.

This is still in progress, I am going to make some animation asap (always when I have spare time)

This time motion blur test (I limited rendering time to 5min - for broken one, 3min for unbroken)

In large scene there is 23900 instance coin objects - one coin includes 4104 poly - rendering time 31 min 14 sec

The second 4k image has 64pass - 40min 3sec + color correction + DOF

Here is more renders... I do not hate EU, but I do not love it either - or maybe I love it and hate it at the same time... Just trying to make pretty renderings :)

As a side note you could try to upload jpg instead of pngs. Its a pain in the ass to load that on low speed connections.
