Good evening everybody,
I am a beginner in Corona. I am trying to light a scene with HDRI image, having no other sun in the scene. Althought the lighting in the scene (the prism and the green tree) look satisfactory, i don't like the sky being almost black as the source hdri looks normal.
The HDRI is mapped in the Environment tab in a VrayHDRI map. Please help me.
Thank you,
Dan

Can you show how Render>Corona settings>Enviroment tab is set up?
-
Hi.....why are you using Inverse gamma value=2.2 in vray HDRI.

Hello and sorry for the delay.
Here they are my settings.
I did not used hdri in bitmap and used vrayhdri instead. Is this the source of the problem?
Best regards,
Dan

Hello again-----if you need contrast between light and shadow. set Inverse gamma value=.75 to 1
.75 or .8 are ideal in most of cases.
In environment tab, enable use 3d max settings[environment tab]. Now press 8 and you will get 3dmax environment window. now drag hdri material slot into environment. see attached image.
Thanks.
