Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like a photo blended with a render in some places. Any chance for some different angle shot?

yep u're right it's  good ref  of water splashed , photoshop with render of shark...Only shark is  3D...waiting new  computer to make  fluid sim (bitfrost) and fire simulation .
At this time as i don't do  sim.  and only still trying to composite renders as best as i can into real footage, think if all is nice it's also a good  solution for still image...
like we don't make real clouds generally on our  3d renders, we use blackplate .

Boo. So basically you could as well just add a flat plane and give it a shark texture. :P

I guess many expected this topic to evolve into usb dongle 2 (https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,1258.0.html) :]

And what about shark ?  ...My first attention was about it ,

i called my toppic "Great white shark", not "Great white in shark in  full 3D environment "..
not really my fault if lot of people thinked it was full 3D.
....and already said  that i'm sorry if i dispointed a lot of people becose their brain make  at first,   a fast shortcut. But to evite confusion i should tell this at  first post maybe.

Tryed to use Corona at something different than put a  box with some DcModel inside, ...the first goal  was integration and think it was not so bad if u thinked  at first all is 3D

The question is,  what do u think about matte painting by example?  There's a ton of great artists inside this community and they mix perfectly 3D with real footage.

Nothing to offend, just my 2 cents.

Hey erick3d, there's no need to defend yourself - you did nothing wrong. This method is more reasonable than full 3d for stills, IMHO. And the fact that you fooled so many people, just shaows that you succeeded in your goal. Keep up!

Sure, no offence! I was just hoping the whole thing is somehow in 3d. :)

I think the "fooling" part is that people just expect everything to be 3D now or what :- ) I see so many architectural photographers on Behance being harrassed daily by comments like "Nice render !" "What render engine?". We're talking...photographers..who put "Photography" in the field next to project.
I think it's always pretty obvious,but...

But funky thread too :- )

Erick3d, your work is awesome! No need to feel like that :) It is very nice to see something else but architecture done in Corona, that is why I try to do more and more product shots done with it lately.

Well achieved!... now that i know what to look for i would say that tha water splashes from the caudal fin looks somehow a little photoshoped. (But again, now that i know what to look for).

Great work.

(I can belive i miss the dongle post XD).

Greetings from Chile.
