Post by: romullus on 2014-09-08, 17:20:21
Build timestamp: Sep  7 2014 22:49:15
Corona version: Daily build post-A7, Maxsdk version: 2014

Scenes saved with sep 07 build and opened in earlier builds, renders with ~20EV lower exposure.

there were some parameters added, and it is not possible to guarantee backwards compatibility in 3dsmax in this case

Ouch, maybe a word of caution in daily builds changelog, then?

this applies to any version revert, not just the latest one

Not sure i understood. Could you be more specific, please? I'm a little affraid to use this build, because of that incompatibility.

going from any newer build to any older build might screw up some settings. Unfortunately autodesk did not do a good job in making the transition possible :/

Just in case somebody needs to revert to older build and encounters this behaviour, i found what's causing this. It looks that Color tint in Exposure and color mapping is getting set to black. Setting it back to white, cures this problem.

Thanks for the info. In one scene I have to crank up exposure to 20 to see anything, so maybe this helps.

Yep, first thing you do is to check tint for black color! Only after that, if that doesn't solve problem, touch exposure. Also be aware that it resets also ISO and Shutter parameters. Sets them to their minimal values.
