Post by: Siahpoosh on 2014-09-02, 21:33:47
is there any solution to render object ID element with corona ? i know there is a cmasking_id but is there anyway to change id color by "object id" inside object properties window ?
with cmasking_Mask i cant create more than 3 ID color .

Add several mask elements, either way, inside and ObjectID pass the element color is automatically given by the system, as always.

Cheers.

No it won't. Corona can save compressed OpenEXR files, and big blocks of single colours like ID passes tend to compress really well. Having ten ID passes instead of just one is not going to increase the size of the frames by very much. No matter how much stuff you cram in there it's unlikely that your images will be more than about 50 megabytes each. 50 MB/frame * 3000 frames ~= 146 gigabytes.

Just buy another hard drive. *shrug*

Not sure why we can't use the Object ID system. I am using the Mask element for now, but being able to render it out as a single pass that After Effects can use easily would be awesome.
