Have you tried using DOF in Corona?

It gives you a natural DOF effect without the artifact from using Z-Depth + Lens Blur

Hi there, yes I did try it but haven't really got the hang of it fully yet. I agree it would be much nicer to have a natural DOF. The flipside is the flexibility the post method gives, especially for animation.

As I understand it, the Corona DOF is dependant on the aperture and sensor width, rather than where the camera target is - so how do you switch focus between depth areas, without a lot of guess work?

Focus distance is driven by camera target, unless you choose to override it in CoronaCameraMod.
