Post by: MGDesignUK on 2014-08-13, 10:15:52
I would like to present a recent project produced using the amazing Corona! Please let me know what you think and if there are any areas that can be improved upon. More information can be seen on our Facebook Page or website www.mgdesignuk.com

Many Thanks,
Max

This is sooo nice to look at! I may be wrong but it looks like there is a bit of noise on the table and the wooden chair. But maybe it's just the texture? You achieved very "crispy" edges of geometry and textures (sofa). Did you use A7 with internal resolution 1? Or what's the cause of this? It looks fine, just caught my eye.

Hi MGDesignUK.....very nice attempt. i love your color combination. great view. carpet with forest pro?

But i have one suggestion, please control exposure on window. lower the exposure so that we can easily see outside environment through window.but overall it look great.

Cheers.

Thanks for your replies guys. The renders were produced using A6 with the default settings, I didn't change anything at all! There was some post work done to each image but that was very minimal.

As the for the textures on the coffee table and chair; I wanted to have some roughness to them but I do agree that they could of been a bit smoother in looks!

Thanks for your your suggestion; I wanted the windows to look slightly over exposed and for the viewer not to see outside that much. I played around with a background in the visuals but I thought it detracted from the overall looks :)

In my opinion, the white windows look ok. It is photographically correct. :)

Nice renders, I may have one suggestion - I can not see the base of the carpet only those scattered bits and I think it would look more realistic if they are attached to some plane :)

I will agree with Maru. In the most cases windows on photograps are totaly blown away except cases when it is target to show enviroment outside the window.

Very nice indeed. White and Clean.

Care to share some info on your lighting approach? Is it setup similar to how most do in vray, with lights in the windows? portal planes? etc.

Thank you.

Only comment I have is as mentioned already, the carpet looks a little high and also needs some sort of base ideally.

Keep it up!

These are really nice, the colour combination and composition work really well. As for the windows, I think they look photographically correct as Maru also said...but I understand what other are saying too.

Great set of work. Well done :)

from my point of view it is done with multiscatter/corona scatter and carpet element is by Bertrand Benoit for free download on Turbosquid

Great! Thank you for the info :) Will use that model for my current project, looking great!

EDIT: Downloaded and tested Bertrand's CarpetTuft free model in simple C4D scene (do not have Max at work), used MoGraph Cloner with basic Random Effector on a basic plane model. I guess you were right, getting similar results :) - Thank you once again!

EDIT2: Do I have to mention that I simply cannot wait for Corona for C4D? I just want to get rid of V-Ray both for personal and business use :)

Yes it was the free download on his website and it was then scattered with Forest Pack Pro. The lighting was done with just the Corona Sun and default settings.

Thanks for all your kinds words people :)

Lighting is simple but great! Did you use the for the sun realistic (default) color? Or did you choose your own color?

Thanks

The sun intensity was turned down but the default colour was kept :)

Would you be so kind to share your lightning setup (maybe a screenshot of top view) if it is no secret? It would help me greatly in my current project. Thank you very much in advance :)
