Title: Clear VFB bug
Post by: romullus on 2014-08-10, 20:17:46
Build timestamp: Aug  6 2014 22:25:30
Corona version: Daily build post-A7, Maxsdk version: 2014

When rendering animation and Clear VFB inbetween renders is unchecked, rendered images in vfb are stacked ontop each other. On single frame render it acts as supposed to.

It's not a bug
When you run animation with low numbers of passes (as 20 for example) then so little passes is not enough to erase the last image.
Just check on "Clear VFB inbetween renders" and have fun (;

I think it is a bug. Since clear VFB is disabled by default, this means that animations just do not work correctly with default settings. That's very bad. I think it was not a good idea to have that enabled by default.

Yep. I agree with you to set it to default

ps: Sorry. Was mistaken. Even for 100 passes I get the something like as MB ((
And images look normal when just run separately two different frames one after another. Troubles just with animation

It's on by default, but when it's on, it's all good. Bad things happens when it's off.

Is there some explanation why is my VFB looking like this? It looks different than all the other VFB windows I have seen... I have corona alpha6, 3ds max design 2013 and windows 7

Yes, there is. "i have corona alpha6"  - that's your answer. Download and install latest public build A7.2 (https://corona-renderer.com/blog/alpha-v7-2/) and you'll have same VFB like everybody else.

And please, do not hijack unrelated topics, especially in Bug reporting section. Use appropriate board instead: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/board,29.0.html

Yes I was afraid to get that answer.. But i have been watching tutorials using alpha 6 and it looks exactly the same as alpha 7.1 vfb without the colormap tab... Ps I had alpha 7.1 but I downgraded it to alpha 6 because of the timelock (31.12.2014).. And alpha 7.2 is working only untill end of february..  And I cant afford the corona render 1.0.. sorry that I hijacked here

That original bug seems to be fixed. Please re-report if it still happens in the latest daily
