Title: Candelero | First Attemp
Post by: Candelero on 2014-07-30, 15:22:20
Hi guys,

I am currently learning Corona and so far I managed to make my first scene.
I am quite happy, considering I am so so so new to this ...

You had a good teacher ;-)
Nice render. Because you are a VRay user, can you tell us some info? Rendering time? Machine? What do you like and don't like about Corona?

@ alessandro ... Ciao :)
@ Ceco ... absolutely ! I appreciate all your time and help bro. :) Will keep bothering you :)
About the render time : It was more or less ~7-8h  on a 2xXeon 2.4 ( 2800x3337px ).
About what I like is the easy approach of the workline... what i don't like: it's so early to say... let me dig in some more time deeper, and definitely I can start giving suggestions. :) ( joking )

@ nehale
It's quite simple actually - a CoronaMix ( Color + Map ) , Glossy map + Bump... nothing too fancy.

Thanks guys !
I guess I'd be fooling around the forum with some more issues ;)  mostly questions, till i find my way around this Great Soft :)

Hi......very nice renderings....great work with corona....very detailed and clear texture....thanks for sharing such good works.

By the way is it possible for you to share some of your material settings here.:- like-Floor material, steps material and fabric material.

I like the fabric texture most. can you please mention here render time with number of passes.

Thanks.

Great render and congrats for your first attempt.

A quick question: did you use bump or displacement for the concrete wall?

Thanks

Thanks again for all your nice words !

About rendering - I've already said it's was about 6-7h on a single 2xXeon 2.4Ghz machine... ~ 300 passes

The floor and steps are one and the same material - just bump, also for the concrete wall - just bump.
The Chair fabric material  - comes with the model from DesignConnected. What i did is actually customizing the falloff curves, as well as CC on the bitmaps ( it is RED by default ).

:)))
Haven't realized how to make disps already - but i think I've seen it in the material... still have to try it.

Hey mate, sorry didn't get your question.
Actually that's not fabric at all... it's supposed to be stamped concrete panels.
