Title: Resources for building a custom 35mm camera?

Hello,
I’m a mechanical engineer with shop experience and want to design/build my own fully mechanical 35mm camera from scratch (inspired by the cost of an Xpan).

Does anyone know of resources like part/assembly drawings, or has anyone here attempted making a camera from scratch before?

Not 35mm but this might be a jumping off point.
Doesn't include lens construction. i think you could google lens patents to get an idea of how they are designed and constructed.
