Title: Light properties not working?

Hey everyone.

I might be wrong, but I seem to find that the light properties on the corona rectangular light doesn't do anything when used.
If I make a light invisible to camera it's still seen just as a solid black instead of white. Also most reflections seems to pick up the lights even though everything but diffuse is turned off the light source?

Am I missing something or am I just having a brain fart this monday?

A picture could be useful. Maybe you are missing something, like there is a piece of geometry with refractive material between your light and camera or something similar?
