Title: Anyone incorporating AI into the workflow..?
Post by: Luke on 2025-03-20, 03:48:31
Just curious to know if anyone is actually successfully incorporating AI into their daily workflow, specifically in the ArchViz world...?
Either for stills or animations/cinemagraphs etc...?

So far I've found it pretty underwhelming for simple things like generative fill, adding people etc... but maybe i'm just looking in the wrong places...?

Love to hear from those who are using it, how and which apps/platforms etc... has it sped up or slowed you down...?

You might want to check out this course from our friends at The Common Point, which shows using AI alongside 3D (and the 3D is of course Corona). https://thecommonpoint.com/ai

EDIT: PS - the results they get are definitely not underwhelming :)

I've purchased the course from The Common Point, I've not made it throught all of it yet but it's really good stuff, with a really balanced take on these new tools. I'll keep it short, here is a video overview of the course content :

I haven't made it through the whole course yet either, but doing a video or two a day, and I agree that it is very interesting and informative! An education in just what AI can (and can't) do and how to use it in a way that makes sense and not just splatter it over everything ;)

The course looks great. I haven't purchased yet as I don't have the time right now to get through it. (And I'm trying to step away from traditional rendering)

However, to answer the original question; I use AI every day. If it's not for plant + people + sky + fabric enhancements it's for concept design, brainstorming, texture creation, background image refinement, image feedback/criticism, plug-in scripting, troubleshooting. So, not just visual AI but text and code based too. I was anti-ai to begin with (still kinda am) but have found it to be an irreplaceable component of my daily workflow.
