Hi,
i'am using (like in A6) a VrayHdri as an environment for lighting and background.
But unfortunately the preview is not working in A7?
See Attached Screenshot . . . .
any help?
greetings. . . .

hello! nobody out there who can solve this problem??
-
Maybe I am confused by this, but how is it connected to Corona ?
Are you sure your HDRi map in material slot is instanced correctly in Max environment slot (so it updates to 0.12 multiplier) ?
-
Your problem is not corona related, is max related...
-
hi,
sorry was offline this weekend :)
Juraj: Yes, the hdri map is a instance of the environmentmap. (same method i used in alpha6, and there everything was fine).
3dbybrunolopes: How you mean it is max related? Could be, because with corona a7 i switched from Max 2014 to Max 2015 . . .
Thanks, and Greetings
Jörg

I have to escalate this to Autodesk, it will take some time...

What I normally do when I have an overexposed background HDRI (cuz that's how it looks like) I use the log.exp. control and turn on process background and env. maps.
Then I change the brightness and\or physical scale so that the HDR gets visible. Afterwards I turn the log. exp. off and hit render.

Hi fellazb.
where exactly you chance this parameters?
I can't find the lo.exp off - function?!
Thanks!

no... I haven't got any big hopes.

You'll find it in Rendering>Enviroment>Exposure control
Btw, you don't have to turn it off when rendering with Corona, because it has it's own exposure settings and discards those in Enviroment tab.

Hi Romullus,
thanks for your help.
Still doesn't work see screenshot.
-
You need to enable it. From dropdown list choose logarithmic exposure control, make sure that both Active and Process background and enviroment maps are checked, and play with logarithmic exposure control parameters until you get what you want. Most of the times, checking Exterior daylight checkbox is enough.

Thanks alot again!
I dd all the changes you proposed, but its still not working. the viewport background of the viewport is just changing from darkgrey to brightgrey?!
what iam doing wrong?
-
If it's VrayHDRI, does it start working when you change renderer to Vray? If not, then it's a Vray bug, not Corona bug.
-
I tried it with latest Vray version and with renderer set to Vray, and it still does the same thing. Therefore this is most probably Vray or Autodesk bug. Unrelated to Corona.
Closing as resolved.

Thanks! also discovered the reason could be especially using PG Skies . . I have a look . .
