Title: Batch render 100 of products with 50 different materials and colors.
Post by: Digital Esthetics on 2025-01-30, 15:40:20
Hello
I have a question. I need to render a product that will be in a very simple scene with a shadow catcher and HDRI map.
And I need to render a product with a selection of 50 materials and colors (so not the same every time)
And with that I need 3 different camera angles.
And for one of the cameras I need the model to rotate 360 degrees so Iget 36 pictures.

So, Ive been thinking of animating the materials but that doesn't allow me to select the material that I want to batch render. And I need all of this to render to different folders with a different name for every material and color.

What would you guys suggest being the best approach?

Perhaps a render manager like Deadline (https://aws.amazon.com/thinkbox-deadline/) or Pulze (https://www.pulze.io/products/render-manager) would work here.
You could also consider Cylindo which is a part of the Chaos ecosystem (https://www.cylindo.com/).

Pulze is the thing for setting up exactly what you want to do.
You could also try renderstacks which lets you do basically anything like this youd want to.

What you are describing seems to be doable even with animation (keyframing the changes) and batch render, for different cameras.
But for a more comprehensive approach, I am yet to find a more comfortable (and reliable) way of doing this than the native (while not user friendly) scene states.
I believe all render managers use it or its functionality to do the versioning tricks.
The important thing is the scene states are supported by batch render, and render presets (settings) as well.

Hi. ok, we have used Cylindo but its so expensive so were looking at other solutions.
