Hi all,
It's a well known fact that it is notoriously difficult to complete personal work whilst balancing production work. Rather than being overly ambitious I decided to create a small scene that I would use as a basis for experiments and to showcase assets I'm working on. Rather than complete the whole scene in one go I'm breaking it down into parts.
Part 1 - Candles
The first part of this project are some images of candles that I photoscanned. These assets were quite challenging to photoscan due to their smooth nature and lack of detail. I was quite happy how they turned out, especially when applying Corona's lovely SSS material.;)
I will continue working on this scene and posting further updates in this thread.

Part 2 – Candle Holders
Here are some photoscanned candle holders to compliment the candles.

Part 3 – Faucet
For the next part of this scene I modelled and textured this faucet by Toni Copenhagen.

Nice!
I think somehow you got the fstorm look.
Great lighting.
Very realistic looking.
Great job

Thanks so much!
I guess I'm heavily inspired by some fstorm users (Jonathan Nicholson + Johannes Lindqvist);)
Attempting to go for that warm wintery lighting with this scene.

Part 4 - La Marzocco coffee machine
I’ve wanted to have a La Marzocco coffee machine in my 3D library for a while. I couldn’t find a good model so I decided to model one myself for this scene.
I decided to go through the effort of unwrapping the whole model and adding some subtle wear and tear.

Here are some detail shots of the coffee machine.

DAMN.............that's good

Part 5- Mugs
Some renders of a pair of Christmas themed mugs that I photoscanned for this scene.

Part 6- Melted Candles.
I'm kicking off the year with the next part of this project. Here are some images focusing on another photoscanned asset. This time a melted version of the candles I previously photoscanned with some additional snow and frost testing.

Part 7- Custom Machine
I decided to make a second version of the La Marzocco coffee machine I previously modeled. The remodeled version is inspired by the custom builds by Rb Crafts.

wow.
Amazing work.
-
insane attention to detail. I hope to reach this level someday. i wish we could add minor imperfections like this efficiently directly in corona

Thanks! Yes, adding these kind of custom imperfections is quite time consuming.

How did you map this wooden piece here?
Just an unwrap or did you use a paint software?

Hi, I unwrapped the part and created a custom wood texture in Photoshop mixing some different parts of wood textures together.

Part 8- Coffee Cups
I photoscanned a pair of coffee cups by Loveramics to compliment the coffee machine.
