Post by: Guillermo Leal on 2014-06-30, 21:53:29
the ies lights seem to be behaving incorrectly in the new alpha 7 version. see the attached images, nothing was changed just opened the file and hit render.

Is the light inside a rectangle or a sphere? Sphere should work

This is actually a bugfix, the A6 version is working incorrectly. The IES is defined only for a hemisphere, so it should be black on the other hemisphere. This was fixed in A7, so now it renders consistently with the 3dsmax photometric lights.
