Chaos Corona for 3ds Max => [Max] I need help! => Topic started by: bee768 on 2024-09-15, 18:44:19

So, I've been using Corona 12 and max 2024, and I've updated my max couple of days ago on version 2025.
I have a project done in max 2024 with Corona 12. When I open in on new vers ( 2025) and I try to start IR rendering my max crashes.
It's happening for couple of days now. I really don't know what is the issue and how to fix it.
I've started another project from scratch on newer vers and everything works perfectly. Im really confused bout it.
Any ideas how to resolve it?
Much thanks

The most effective way would be to open support ticket at Chaos portal and attach the offending scene, so that support team could investigate if the crash is caused by Corona, or by something else. https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Hello @bee768
As Romullus suggested, please open a support ticket and attach the problematic scene for further checking:

Hi!
Have you managed to solve your problem?
I think I have the same situation.

We haven't received any support ticket from bee768, but we can still receive one from you, Żaneta. :)

Our support team will do their best to help you.
Meanwhile, here is a shot in the dark:
- Open one of the problematic scenes
- Run the 3ds Max Scene Converter (not the Corona Converter!). You can find it under Rendering > Scene Converter... If it detects some missing plugins or legacy elements of other renderers, click "remove" and then select Corona from the top dropdown list and click "convert scene". It's a good idea to back up your scene before running the converter!
We had some users who experienced random crashes (e.g. when starting IR) and running the 3ds Max Scene converter helped.
