Post by: kuldev82 on 2024-06-27, 09:13:59
Hi,

I am just wanted a help here on distance material as my base material is the same and I want all objects to have different colors or materials around it.

Screenshot Attached for ref. would really appreciate help or suggestions on this.

Thanks.

Hi,

For each different color/material you would have to use separate distance map.

You don't need to use distance map on the base object. Only the objects that are driving distance effect should have distance map and not the object that is receiving the effect. Obviously driving objects must be separate in order for this to work. In the attached file you'll find two solutions, one for different materials and one for maps.

Additionally, if you change the mixing method to value (or whatever suits you), you will get a color mixing effect.
