Title: Camera setup issue
Post by: spomeniks on 2024-06-06, 00:01:45
This is my first time using 3ds Max or Corona, so the issue is definitely on my end.

I'm following a tutorial, but when I go to add a camera, it shows up like you can see in the image. When I hit add corona camera, then click and drag, there's nothing interactive happening like I'm seeing in different tutorials. Instead, it's just a single point in the viewport. Any idea what this is?

EDIT: not sure how to delete this post, but it was the funnel icon in the viewport that I had switched on...

Dont delete the post, ive been wanting to know what that funnel icon was for the past 12 months lol.

Another good tip is if you want to create a camera from your current viewport perspective you can create the camera as you are doing now, then while the camera is selected press ctrl+C (it will move to your view), then press C again to view from the selected camera.

Perfect thanks dj_buckley I was trying to find what to search for in the docs since there is no tooltip for this lol.

Ah damnit you can just right click on it! lol
