Hi guys, my first test using Bucket mode. This is a personal project "Romantic". This time I´m using Bucket mode and... I love it!! Thanks Michel Amorim for the tips.
-
I already like it.
-
Looks very promising, can't wait to see more progress!
-

Did you remove the image filter?

thnks crawlewis :)
one more question:
you only change to (PT + PT) and use default values ? or you change others things like MSI ...

No Cyrus3v.

thks a lot crawlewis :) iam gona try in my scene .. :)
cheers :)

Hi guys, my settings and new preview. :)
-
Why the hell did you use max ray depth 8?
Can you post another render with no additional contrast for comparison?
I would use PT+HD in this case.
btw, does material override affect portals, too?
-
Thanks crawlewis. You render looks so sharp that I thought you removed the image filter to add some sharpness.
Interesting that you didn't use any Photographic Exposure. Great result.

- Because 25 ray bounces in my opinion is to much for this scene. I don´t have use portals.
- With PT+PT I get more details. but I will try to HD Cache.
but I'm here to learn, and of course open to suggestions.

Where do I find this filter?
-
Under VFB Settings -> Image Filter

Why? Do you even know what it does? What is the difference in comparison to default?
I don´t have use portals.
You should. It shouldn't give you any visual difference but should speed up your rendering about 3-5 times. :)

This isn't correct. Zero is just another exposure value, like 1 or -1 or any other number.

3-5 times speed up from portals alone? Are you sure?

So, what is the benefit of using Photographic Exposure? Using the Global Camera settings?
-
There's no benefit nor drawback. You are using it all the time, want it or not.
It really helps to have at least basic understanding what Exposure and Exposure Value (EV) is:
Exposure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposure_%28photography%29)
EV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposure_value)
-
For EV you should really link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposure_value#Exposure_compensation_in_EV because in Corona it is a relative value.

Yes, I know. It´s about light bounces.
I had already tested these parameters, and therefore decided not to use portals, I knew that HD cache it´s faster, but it depends on the quality I seek also, so I decided to use PT + PT. Here are the pictures of the comparison.
But I appreciate the tips, it is always good to try new possibilities.

you find in VFB Settings , in image filter , i use tente with 1.333 (Width) for little sharp
and thk you crawlewis for the settings :)
one more question you dont use portals in PT + PT ?? what is the time of render ?

See my tests above ^ ;)

I still don't get it why you changed max ray depth... And with this portal 3-5x speed-up I didn't mean time required to do given amount of passes but time required to get rid of noise.

Yes, I igree and switch Max ray depth to default 25. About portals, I did not see much difference between tests, maybe this occurs because this scene has lots of windows.
Thanks again for tips. :)
