This is my first "real" try on Corona Render, no converted materials nor anything. Done today, from scratch, all modeling in 3ds max (and the bronze material is based on a bronze I found on the great www.coronamaterials.com).
My main goal was to get a grip on Corona Materials and see if I could do what I normally do in VRay.
Render times were really fast, with the final image taking around 10 minutes in ~2000x3000 on my i7. Pretty neat, I think.
As usual, crits&comments are more than welcome!

Hello,
I hope OP is still alive :p
Can you please guide me through how you did the ropes? And a material for them would be very highly appreciated!
Thanks in advance :)

Great string!!

Thanks for the replies, guys!
The string is actually quite simple. It's basically 2 identical renderable helixes (shape) rotated so the sit inside of each other. The knots are just bit more complicated: I drew the know using a curved spline and with the path follow modifier I conformed the straight string to the shape of the knot.
The material is ridiculously simple, I scanned a real 10 cm string and used it for the diffuse. Nothing else. ;-)
BTW, I also used Hair&Fur for the tiny hairs along the string. Nothing fancy.
Cheers!

Its the hair and fur that adds that extra level and makes it look real!

Thank you so much :)
LOVE the double helix idea ;)
But one more very "pesky" request, can you please upload the diffuse and save me the trouble of buying a rope and a scanner :p
Thanks again! And a great render indeed :)
