Title: Corona / Vray - Affect atmospheric for light
Post by: nalewa666 on 2024-01-04, 11:31:27
Hi,

I used to use Vray and I quite often used affect atmospheric option for lighting. Sometimes I could put higher value to increase the goodray effect/glowing just for single light.

Is there simillar option in Corona or not really? It is very useful in vray.

Thanks for help!

Hi,

Not any other than making the fog/volume denser or increasing the light intensity - meaning, being physically accurate.
Somewhat the same effect can be achieved using the lightmix too - increasing the intensity of specific light(s).

Having a (fake) atmospheric contribution per light, like VRay has, can be a feature request.
But given the possible workarounds, I don't think it will have a high priority of being implemented.

I would like this to be added as a feature request :)

Thanks for quick reply!
It is quite useful in vray as it allows to add a bit more ambience in certain areas of the scene without having the light to strong/burned out (In dark/night scenes).
Not a must for sure.
